Completed multiple rounds (recruiting screen, team chat, presentation, challenge, final meeting with C-level stakeholders) only to be sent an email that they're going with someone else. Informal conversations with various people working your way up the ladder. If someone at the top suggests you talk to someone else (in my case the person I started with :) then you know you're not getting anywhere. I went through three rounds.
