      Festive Colleague Nights Interview

      15 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Eastbourne, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Eastbourne, England) in Nov 2025

      Interview

The interview in itself was fine and the interviewers were relatively nice but I'm still putting this down as an overall negative experience. The email sent to me never mentioned a group interview, however, when I showed up there were around 10 or so other people. The email also never mentioned a stocking activity, however (again), we were made to do this. There were also two interviewers as opposed to the only one mentioned in the email, who was late (I normally would let this pass but not in this situation, sorry?). As for the actual "interview", we were only asked for our names, if we have any experience and questions, and we were made to fill out some forms about health and availability. I've never had a group interview before, so I'm unsure if this is normal, but from my point of view it is still highly disappointing, as I spent a lot of time preparing for the most basic interview questions including the competency ones (which the email said the interview would have) to not even be asked them.

      Interview questions [2]

      What is your first name?
      Answer question

      Question 2
