I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Cookie Museum
Interview
Overall, extremely horrible.
Interviewer was extremely arrogant, when asked about the job scope, they compared it to candidate's current job in a condescending manner, "It's not like xxx company where you can just anyhow greet the customer one" .
Bragged about how they made their staff starve for lunch break because they were so so busy and claimed "it's CNY anyways they can lose weight".
Bragged about their clientele profile after candidate asked, and THEN bragged about their own lifestyle - claiming that a few thousand dollars "to them is nothing".
When asked about pay, interviewer offered lower that candidates current pay ($7 per hour) and said, "honestly right, working with us is a benefit to you. You should be paying us to learn here"
Nobody cares that a princess from some other country visited your store, seriously. It's just retail and sales work, not Ritz Carlton.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Cookie Museum (Singapore) in May 2017
Interview
There were two rounds of interview, the first one was delayed for at least an hour and it became a mass interview because the interviewer did not have enough time to carry out the interviews as planned. I got an invitation to 2nd interview right after the 1st interview.
2nd interview was pretty bad. I was with another candidate and there were four interviewers. The CEO himself was there and he repeatedly insulted the both of us. Firstly, the CEO described me height as ‘cleaning height’ and then the other girl’s as ‘oven height’. Then he asked what would we do if we were given 1 million dollars, after answering. He suggested that I should get a tongue transplant (because I have geographic tongue) and as for the other girl, he suggested that she need to get her teeth fixed. These are just a few examples. He even commented that my parents will be rich enough to pay for penalty fees if I decided to leave this programme halfway through. Things like that. Luckily, I wasn’t offered the job because I wouldn’t want to work with him.
