Received a call from TGES five minutes after applying. This was followed by a telephonic interview by the HOD of Sciences. A few days later, I was asked to come in person for a demo lesson and a face-to-face interview. The demo lesson and interview process with the HOD and the Principal went very well. However, I was then interviewed by the 'subject-expert' from the Physics department, a teacher from national curriculum, who sought word-perfect definitions from ISC text-book for an IGCSE teaching position. CIE does not ask for fact-based questions, more specifically definitions and formulae. This deemed me unfit for the said interview.
