I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Hartford (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2016
Interview
In met with the managing attorney and another attorney in the office for about one hour and I was told that they would me making a decision in approximately 2 weeks. Within a few days, I got a call from their recruitment department asking me if I was interested in pursuing the job opportunity. When I said yes, she said that she got positive feedback from the interviewer and that someone would be getting back to me within a week or two. After another two weeks, I called her back to follow up and she again said that she got very positive feedback about my interview, and that I should be hearing back within a week or so. I finally got an e-mail a month later telling me that the company had decided to move forward with another candidate.

Question 1
They mostly asked me about my relevant job history and experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Hartford (Needham, MA)
Interview
Only made it as far as first round phone screen. They used an outsourced recruiter who didn't know a ton about the company and who did not have any apparent understanding of the legal market. Instead of being asked about my qualifications and experience, I was asked extensively about my work history in its entirety, including odd jobs I did through college and law school that had no substantive impact on my competence as an attorney. Instead of fleshing out my law-related qualifications, I was busy rambling off various waitressing jobs I have had over the years at the recruiter's insistence.
Wonderful experience. I applied online and within 2 weeks I had a phone interview, in-person interview and received an offer. The in-house recruiter was very helpful throughout the entire process.
