      Project Manager Interview

      3 Sept 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Washington Post in Jul 2011

      Interview

I received a call from HR to set up a phone interview which happened instantly. Following week, I was called for a face to face interview. I waited for about 20 minutes for someone to come at the lobby and allow me to enter the building. Not only that, there was a mis-communication internally and after initial minutes with HR I went for an actual interview with other 2 members (by this time it was 30 minutes behind the schedule time) Interview was good and I received a very positive feedback. Then I went for HR interview again which lasted for about 20 minutes and I was told by 2 members and HR that I will hear one or the other way by the end of next week. That never happened but after 2 weeks I received an email from HR that they have finished all the interviews and would like to discuss next steps with me. I provided the time frame when I was available to discuss the next steps (I already had an offer by this time so I put it on hold for couple of days since I wanted to discuss final steps with the post). Surprisingly, never heard from them on the confirmed time but for about a week. I followed up by calling and was told that they will get back to me in 1-2 days and after 2 weeks I still don't have anything. All and all very unprofessional from the post - they could have shown some courtesy to at least notify me one or the other way.
