It's basic decency to give candidates a closure. I went through all rounds of interview: hiring manager, prospect teammates, HR business partner and even did an assignment and presentation. What a massive waste of time. Despite countless follow-ups, they did not tell me if i succeeded or not. What makes matter worse is the HRBP interview sounded really positive. And in one of my follow-up emails, they said they are finalizing interviews. It's been 4 months, since the beginning of the application process. Why would they want to lead candidates on this way? I don't get it. So, to anyone applying to TikTok, just be prepared to be ghosted. They have a reputation for that apparently. And those who take up the offer, do note that if a company is not transparent in the interview process, this will likely apply in performance reviews or reorg. Good luck.

Interview
Very tedious TA contact. Almost no feedback in any way to any application. Once you are interviewing the scheduling is good, as there is a different recruitment coordinator, but the contact with the local TA is non-existent.
Call -> Zoom -> Task
Friendly process, I was told I wasn't accepted because of lack of experience which was a bit odd, considering they knew that going in to the first call.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
I interviewed once with the recruiting team and another time with a peer on the team. The questions were behavioral in nature and the conversation flow was great but they decided not to proceed with me for the role.
