I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Travelers (Germantown, MD) in May 2023
Interview
The application process was easy and I received a link to complete an online assessment. The assessment was okay in terms of testing critical thinking under pressure, but the questions had no relevancy to the position I applied for which was a bit confusing. Regardless, I must have passed because a few weeks later, I received a call to complete a phone interview. The recruiter I spoke with was very friendly and professional; we discussed the position and my interest in it/background for about 30 minutes. Within a day or two, I received a call to schedule a Zoom interview with a panel. The interview lasted about 1.5 hours and went well; both Travelers employees were incredibly personable and it made the process comfortable and smooth. The first part of the interview was fairly standard and if you prepare STAR method answers, you'll be fine. The second part of the interview was with someone who currently works in the role I applied for and it was awesome to have the chance to speak with a Claims Rep.! After that, I received a call to schedule a final interview with a director. That Zoom interview lasted about 30-40 minutes and contained a few standard interview questions (again, use STAR method to answer) but it genuinely felt more like a chance to make sure I would be a good fit for Travelers and that Travelers would be a good fit for me. About a week later, maybe less, I received a call from the original recruiter that I completed the phone interview with, and received a verbal offer. Overall, the process was a great experience and everyone I connected with was warm, open, and honest about the position/expectations.
