A 3 stage interview process for an accounts assistant position paying a maximum of £30k: an initial screening, a Teams call with the Financial Controller and then a face to face interview with the Financial Controller and an HR representative.
I would urge caution to anyone that applies for a role here, as I found the recruitment process very stressful and I thought it was handled very poorly by the company.
The screening part was fine and I was invited to a Teams call which was fine too, but at the end of the call the FC asked me in for a face to face interview, to which I gladly accepted. This was on the Wednesday, and by the following Monday, I still hadn’t heard anything, so sent a polite chaser email and later that day, I had a phone call to book in the interview for that Thursday.
Attended the interview which was fine and I was told at the end that I’d likely hear by the early the following week. I then waited for a whole week, before sending a polite chaser email (see the theme) asking if a decision had been made. On the Friday, 8 days after the interview, I received a generic, automated 2 line email to say I wasn’t successful. No personalisation or offer of feedback, bearing in mind I’d just done 3 interviews for them nor the emotional strain of waiting over a week to hear from them. A generic 2 line email as if you were being turned away at the application stage. Not good enough.
I asked for feedback but never received any, so have decided to leave this review to make people aware of how this company operates.
