Average phone screen with HR. Someone from the company viewed my LinkedIn a couple of days later and must've seen something they didn't like because they chose not to move forward with me. It took about a week for the recruiter to get back to me after the phone screen.

Tell me a little about yourself, and where you see yourself in 5 years.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Twistle (New York, NY)
Interview
I had an informational interview with Twistle: a total of two to learn more about the company. The process broke down once I met the CEO in person. He was condescending and short with me. I was treated with an absolute lack of respect, and did not even receive a response when I thanked them for their time. I would not consider working with or for Twistle at any point in time. Any C-suite that treats their staff in that manner is not one I want to be affiliated with.
I had two interviews with people from the field success department. I met all of the qualifications for the job title and interviewed well. Two days later after my second interview, I received an email from HR stating that they will not be selecting me as a candidate. I sent an email back inquiring why I didn't get the position. I definitely believe that I was discriminated against. Surprised but not really. The amount of racism black people continue to face in this country is insufferable. Whether it is blatantly or blatantly, the systemic racism continues...
Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry this was not a positive experience for you. We are disappointed in ourselves that you came away with these perspectives. I did personally talk to the Director in charge of hiring for this role and received feedback on the candidates we've talked to thus far and got what I felt was reasonable, unbiased feedback as to why decisions were made for each candidate. Based on your experience, however, it's clear we have more work to do to better address bias in the hiring process - both perceived and real - and can only get better by being aware of perceptions that emerge from candidates, so thank you for the feedback.
