I recently interviewed for a senior role at UST Global, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what one would expect from a reputed organization. The technical interviewer seemed ill-prepared and lacked effective communication skills. His accent was difficult to understand, which severely hindered the flow of conversation and comprehension on both ends. The questions asked were extremely basic — not aligned with the expectations for a senior-level position. It raised concerns about the interviewer’s own depth of knowledge and ability to assess candidates appropriately. There seemed to be a fundamental disconnect in understanding my responses, even when I explained concepts clearly and thoroughly. Post-interview, the HR follow-up was slow and negligent. It took two full days to get feedback, and that only happened after I proactively reached out. When I finally received a response, the feedback was vague and uninformative, despite my confident and complete answers during the interview. Overall, this experience left me questioning the internal hiring standards and communication practices at UST Global. I hope they take candidate experience more seriously in the future — especially for senior roles that demand a higher level of professionalism and technical discernment.
