To my surprise, they were no longer interested in hiring me and claimed that they never told me to drop the other offer. They also stated that they interviewed hundreds of candidates, and it did not matter if I joined them or not. This unprofessional behavior on their part left me feeling disappointed and frustrated, especially as I had declined another offer based on their assurance.
