I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied for the position online and they emailed me back right away to do an online interview. I did the interview and then they came back to me within a week to ask me to fly to one of their hubs to interview. I called the number and they allowed me to fly out to Houston and back the same day. This was good because they don't pay for a hotel if you have to stay overnight. They also don't pay for training and I think it's 5 weeks long. The only thing they pay for is a $20/ day per diem to get food while you're in training. They informed me that I would more than likely be based in New Jersey. I got to the interview place about :45 early and there wasn't anyone there. Finally someone came out of a back room and told me to have a seat. Next another person came out of the back and told me that they were going to do things a little differently and that they would start my interview process early. So, I went with her and she asked me some basic questions about my background and about customer service. I was then put in a room with three other people and through speaking with them, they had already done their first interview and were waiting for the second. One by one, they came and got us and when I finally went, I was brought into another room with two other people and they asked me a few questions and then gave me a flight attendant scenario; "What would you do if there was a customer in first class that had their lap top open after the captain had asked everyone to put them away for takeoff?" I responded that I would ask them nicely to put it away. They then asked "What if you walked through the cabin and saw that they hadn't put it away?" I responded that I would explain that the captain needed them to put it away and that they could take it out again when the captain said it was safe to do so. Not sure if that was what they were looking for. They asked me if I had any questions and I asked about the merger between United and Continental. They explained a few things to me about the Flight Attendant union contract and that was about it.

Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
