I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Aug 2015
Interview
IS ANYONE GOING TO TRAINING IN SEPTEMBER?!?! I received an email asking for a video interview. A few days later, I got an invite to come out for a f2f. I had my f2f in Houston on August 25th. There were about 25 people in the room to be interviewed. I made friendly conversation with those around me while we sat and waited for the presentation and while we were waiting for the one-on-one interviews. I made sure to sit up front and took a few notes during the presentation. Be aware of your body language and make eye contact with the presenters! They were really great-informative and funny! After the presentations and about 45 minutes of mingling, I got called in for my one-on-one. The lady I interviewed with was so sweet and professional!!!!! She was really hard to read, though! I couldn't tell if she liked me or was just being professional! She asked to walk me out and I was like, oh no! This is the end. Swerve! They needed more info. :) I sat with 2 guys who also made it through the one-on-one. Shortly after, I was interviewed by 2 really friendly and professional men. They all do such a great job of making you feel comfortable. They left the room and came back and said they had good news!! I thought I was about to have a heart attack! :) I feel so blessed and grateful and truly wish you the best of luck. Strategies: read Glassdoor and prepare the questions. A lot of these questions or similar ones were asked. Don't write out full answers, but just bullet points so you have your main ideas, but the flexibility to be sincere. Practice in the mirror! Try to be yourself in the interview-I know that can be kind of annoying to hear because you'll be nervous, but talk to and be kind to your fellow FA applicants before hand. It truly helps! The best of luck to everyone in pursuing your passion!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Role playing: I'm a co-worker on a flight with you. It's a quick 35 minute flight and I'm refusing to do the drinks. What do you say to me?
I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
It started with the Assessment, followed by 8 video questions, and then the video interview. The in person final interview I am waiting for. They said I would know in 2-5 business days.
