Mostly Behavioral, seeing if you are normal and can talk to customers
Your Ability to kayak and experience is very important
Seemed pretty easy overall, mostly what happens if you paddle on the left which way will you go, how do you stop, how do you flip a kayak
Straight forward interview process. Can you lift kayaks? Some experience with kayaking? Decent with people? You're good to go. Be ready to start fairly soon if you answer yes to these questions.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Urban Kayaks (Chicago, IL) in May 2013
Interview
Tested your kayaking ability by going for a short paddle. Then I sat down with the ownership and they ran me through a couple of customer service examples and had me type out some short emails that I would be sending to customers.
