I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in Jun 2016
Interview
As everyone else is saying you go in for an on-campus interview, after a phone interview, and you meet other people interviewing for the same role. The whole experience is from 8-1pm and you meet crew members and managers as well as have Vanguard sell itself to you. I had a behavioral interview, with STAR type questions, and a technical one, both 1:1. The interviews were friendly and seemed very personable. Both interviews weren't too challenging (but my nerves didn't help), but the more you prepare the better you will do. Overall I had a great experience and received and accepted an offer.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
What is the difference between a deep copy and a shallow copy?
This was pre-pandemic but
1 - 3 coding questions sent via email
2 - phone interview where they ask behavioral questions
3 - onsite interview. They pay for your hotel, lasts from around 8 AM - 2PM . Asked technical, behavioral and given powerpoints on what to expect with the company.
However, they claimed you get reimbursed for traveling expenses and that it would take 4-6 weeks. It's been 3 months and I still haven't been reimbursed. Tried contacting, lady said she'd give reimbursement the following Monday, she never did and now she never responds. False promises early makes me believe this is a scam company.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Charlotte, NC) in Aug 2018
Interview
Super day with two interviews and presentations. One technical and one more behavioral. Tech interview included a case study that was kind of just a programming question. Basically, "How would you implement this feature". Wouldn't sorry too much about it.

Question 1
What is a pointer? What is a stack and how would you use one? How would you tell if two strings are permutations?
I applied through university. I interviewed at Vanguard
Interview
Included a phone interview with technical questions and an onsite interview that covered both technical and personality questions. The technical and personality questions were split into two separate interviews. They also provided breakfast with current employees that "wasn't part of the interview".
