I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Nov 2012
Interview
After submitting my application online, I was contacted and a phone interview was scheduled (40 min long). After the phone interview, I was asked if I would like to come to campus for an in person interview. The in person interview lasted 4 hours, and included STAR based behavioral questions. There were questions about the history of Vanguard & the products they offer (401k, retirement plans, mutual funds, etc). In addition, there was a case study which involved responding to an upset client.
