I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vanguard (Valley Forge, PA) in Dec 2010
Interview
First I had an interview at my campus recruiting center. It was fairly basic and consisted of behavioral based questions. Lots of questions like tell me a time when you displayed such and such quality. Fairly easy. From there I made it to a set of interviews at Vanguard's HQ's in Valley Forge, PA. There were 2 behavioral based interviews as well as various group activities including a case study. All in all I though it was fairly standard.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vanguard (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2022
Interview
Mostly behavioral interview questions with along with a roll play exercise. There were a few technical questions regarding how the equity and debt markets work, but if you have take an entry level finance class then it should be pretty basic
Passed Coding exam, took Behavioral interview, then got completely ghosted. I would at least expect a rejection from someone who took the time to interview me, but I guess their HR needs some work
