They gave a programming assignment that seemed simple. If you've worked in trading long enough you've probably done it. But it’s clear from the spec that Vatic doesn’t understand floating point error and their automated system breaks if you pass it your own Makefile.
Vatic also didn't answer my questions until 2 hours after the submission deadline had passed.
They wasted my time.
Thank you for the feedback. Our development team has reviewed your comments and do not see the need for any changes. We understand the problem quite well. If the instructions had been followed, we're confident that you would have been able to pass the test. Many engineers without trading experience have been able to do so.

Interview
There was a phone screen, which was then followed by take home C++ project followed by hacker rank on-site. Recruiter was very friendly, but project was time consuming and technical interviewer was abrasive.
