I applied to this role and less than 60 seconds later I received the boiler plate "We're proceeding with candidates who more closely match our needs..." email. This is the second time this has happened for a role at Veeam. My background matches the needs of each job I have applied for, I have optimized my resume to match for keywords and even cross threaded with alternate language (e.g. cross sell, upsell, expansion, growth). Clearly applications are not reviewed by a human at Veeam - the ATS is filtered and automatically responding based on some pre-programmed algorithm. No human could have been notified that I had applied, opened and read my cover letter and my resume (even scanned it) and arrived at the conclusion that I didn't meet the needs of the position and responded in less than 60 seconds as happened in this case. So then I decided to test the system and had Copilot and ChatGPT produce 5 different fictional resumes that AI thought would be a perfect match for the role and submitted them at different times throughout the day to ensure that I wasn't just hitting that one super industrious, super responsive HR employee who just happened to be at their desk the exact moment I applied, and the same result each time....a rejection in less than 60 seconds. So don't waste your time applying here, it wont be reviewed by a human. You're best shot will be to try to get in by reaching out to a human directly but then....do you REALLY want to work for an org that treats applicants like that?
