Veritaaq interview questions

The Company asked for three references before the interview. I had an issue with this because I was applying to multiple jobs at the time and did not want my references to be contacted unless an offer was on the table. I was to be interview by the senior accountant and HR. My interview started 10 minutes after the scheduled time and neither of the interviewers were present. Someone else had come to do the interview with the HR package because the senior accountant was busy. The interview was for 1 hour and I was asked questions that had nothing to do with the job. The person interviewing me was just reading off the HR package and did not try to make any personal connection with me. Maybe this was an extraordinary circumstance and their typical process is not like this.
