Looks like I wasn't the only one who reported this. I also had an interview, what they were looking for seemed to be right up my alley of expertise. So it was exciting to speak to it, provide my portfolio of builds even, and seemingly I thought it went well. I was informed they were looking to fill this role very quickly. Not only was my interviewer having to reschedule the first interview late notice, which was a flag but also I let it go as a one-off, I was also ghosted and never spoken to again, even after having followed up. Not a good look, and to me, would define how this organization would be if you worked there. Take precaution if you are interested in interviewing with them, or skip it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Very Big Things in Oct 2025
Interview
I was told I was selected for an interview and was offered to participate in an optional chat. It said it was going to be 10 to 15 minutes. It was an extensive deep dive into capabilities and methodologies. It took nearly an hour to complete. Then I was completely ghosted. It felt very much like they were farming for content on methodology and had no intent of ever interviewing anyone.

How would you address customer requirements gathering?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Very Big Things in Mar 2024
Interview
I had a 90 minute call with a recruiter who also happened to be the CEO's brother. He seemed really excited about the fit. Great, I was interested to learn more. But from there it was a disaster process. The CEO's admin seemed incompetent, as they had trouble setting the first interview time. Then, 3 minutes AFTER our re-scheduled interview time when I followed up for a meeting link, I am told the meeting "was canceled." Literally zero heads up until after our scheduled time. I can't say I've ever felt my time was so disrespected. If you're down to the day-of, you chat for a few minutes and show some grace and human decency. This was a major red flag, it says a lot about an organization how they hire and I can only imagine this is a toxic environment.
