I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vision Computer Solutions (Northville, MI) in Aug 2019
Interview
Applied through Indeed, answered some questions there, then was prompted to answer further questions after they reviewed the application. I was contacted for a phone interview soon thereafter, set that up, and was stood up for the phone interview. After waiting 20 minutes, I followed-up via email and was told there had been an emergency and they asked if they could call at that point. I agreed and waited... no call. I offered up additional times the following Monday—no response. I explicitly asked for a response and still heard nothing. Finally, after telling them I didn't appreciate being ghosted, I got an apologetic response and an offer to schedule a new interview (which I declined). Not impressive.

How would you handle incoming incidents and requests?

Interview
The hiring process was fairly straight forward. I applied through DICE.com and was asked for an interview. We met at the office and interviewed with two members of the executive team and one of the senior team members. It was a very conversational and expansive interview. Vision likes to get to know their candidates over a long period of time if possible and interview ahead of need or hiring for a position so that they can get to know someone over a period of time not just through the interview process. Cultural fit and personality are as important as technical skills.
