The recruiter interview was brief but contained several inaccuracies. She incorrectly stated that the position required candidates to be based in NYC and that they had been searching for someone for six months. However, during the second interview, it became clear that these claims were not accurate.
Overall, the interview process felt off. The interviewers displayed little engagement, with a very flat affect throughout. The questions were generic and uninspired, giving the impression that they weren’t particularly invested in the candidates. It seemed like they were looking for an idealized "jack-of-all-trades" candidate rather than someone with specific expertise.
Initial screen was by phone with a recruiter. Questions were clearly mapped out in advance and the same for each candidate. Second interview was a one-way interview where you were provided questions and given time to upload a video response to them.
