WYgroup interview questions

The interview went well, I didn't have any questions regarding the job duties. They asked me to deliver a challenge, which I did. Days later I received a message telling me that I was the one who best completed the challenge. Which made me very excited. A few days later I received a message again saying that I didn't make it to the final hiring stage. Super strange not wanting to hire the best person, but they also didn't give me any more context about the decision.
