Interview
After my profile got shortlisted recruiter called and scheduled an interview and explained the interview process in mail itself(I have copied it below).
"We intend to cover 5 rounds and details are given below: Each round would last for an 1 hour on an average.
1st round is coding round (example: removing duplicates in a set of numbers OR sum of a prime numbers in given set of numbers with the optimized code and it should be clean and bug free code)
2nd round is Problem Solving and Coding using DS and Algorithms.
3rd round is Software Design (example: design a Twitter OR Facebook).
4th round is System Architecture and Design (example: design a Twitter OR Facebook)
5th round is Hiring Manager"
When recruiter call next business day as I am not working in Bangalore I asked to arrange logistic() so he told will have 1 telephonic round and then rest will be onsite. I agreed as before spending on logistic they will make sure candidate is up to the mark.

When I have attended the interview I was surprised to see the level of questions and their expectation, none of the question was aligned with the process recruiter explained over mail all are theoretical java question which I remembered I prepared when I was fresher and in college.
Trust me no DS, ALGO, Problem solving.
I am sure if we have to go to service base companies, interviews would be like this and people focus on those skills only rather DS algo and problem solving, but didn't expect from product base company, I ended up wasting 30 mins and thanks I didn't had to waste full day by travelling to their office .
and I can guess what quality of work they might be doing, if just language.

5 step interview, I think it was way too much. They should not be stressing applicants like this. They should let you dictate what operating procedures you can demo without rancomly giving it to you on the spot.

The process was a Karat interview, technical video interview, and then the onsite. I was asked many questions about Java Springboot, but the position I applied did not mention anything about Java.
