I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Walmart (San Jacinto, CA) in Aug 2010
Interview
I applied online for the job, 3 months later I got a call from my references saying that they were contacted by walmart, and shortly after getting off the phone walmart called me to set up an interview.
The interview process is very easy. You typically have 2-3 interviews in quick succession. You meet with a supervisor and answer a few basic personality questions. You then meet with a assistant manager and continue with basic behavioral questions. Then you move on to a co-manager or store manager for final approval.
The interview process was a very amateur operation. The supervisor that interviewed me hardly cared about the answers, she just marked everything off as passing. The assistant manager that interviewed me had a hard time reading the questions. Yes, you read that right, the MANAGER could barely read English. Lastly the co manager interview was literally 5 mins, he barely said anything for he seemed to have better things to do.
All in all.... nothing to worry about.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What was a time you let someone down and how did you fix it?
Phone interview and then asked to come in for in person interview. The hiring manager asked typical interview questions. Why do you want to work here? And asked bout scheduling availability,
There was a lot of questions but overall it went pretty decent. They were your standard interview questions. I am happy with the outcome but maybe I could do better next time.
The interview was brief but straight forward. I interviewed with someone and was done within 15 minutes. They asked a few questions about myself and past job experience. Then I progressed to the next steps in the hiring process. The next steps where orientation.
