      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Nov 2021

      Interview

After submitting my resume a recruiter reached out and I was offered a first round interview. The interview was done entirely over Zoom, and the first round was more on the technical side.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Was given a series of metrics concerning emails sent out, engagement numbers, interactions, clicks generated, how many customers who visited the site bought something, etc. Then I was told to calculate how much would sales increase if one of the original engagement figures was changed.
      1 Answer

I applied online. I interviewed at Wayfair

      Interview

Very kind and supportive interviewer helped me through the questions. One case study question with three parts. The question was not related to the role I was interviewing for, and was difficult to understand and interpret the data. There was basic math involved.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Case study question about how Wayfair can grow its share of the appliances market. The first part of the question asked me to assess why Wayfair would be struggling in this area. The second part of the question asked me to look at a table of cost and revenue breakdowns and calculate the breakeven point for Wayfair to make revenue for advertising appliances. Pretty difficult since the terminology and data was complicated and not easy to understand.

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)

      Interview

A lot of math, although it had nothing to do with the position. The interviewer was giving hints but you won't end up knowing the formula to calculate, which can lead to a bad impression.
