I got an email within about a week of applying for a Human Resource Analyst position. The recruiter began the interview by explaining that role had been filled but that I seemed to be a good fit for another available role. After the phone screening, I got another email inviting me in for an in-person interview. I withdrew my application as the position was not what I was looking for, nor had I applied for the position.
