I applied online. I interviewed at Wayfairer Travel (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
After submitting an application, which involved filling in an extensive online form with questions about my approach to travel design and business mindset, I received an email saying I was chosen to move on to Round 2. That round involved a "16 Personalities Test" and a Travel Sales Video Brief. I took the personality test and did the work required to complete the video brief, which they said could be 3 - 5 minutes. I designed the itinerary as requested, and practiced for the video, getting it down to just under 5 minutes. I recorded the video, but their video system cut off after 3 minutes, 10 seconds, so I had to go back and figure out how to answer all the required questions in shorter limited time. After submitting the personality test results and video, I never heard back from them. I followed up weeks later to see if there was any update, but they did not reply. It's highly disappointing that they ask applicants to put in hours of work to apply, and then do not have the courtesy to even acknowledge them with a response. The process was not difficult, but it was time-consuming. I see someone else here had a similar experience, so there is a pattern showing that they lack basic etiquette in their hiring process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Everything was done via email or their buggy hiring system. They gave a client brief and asked that the video walk through the destination, budget, special moments, and other details. I never had an opportunity to interview with a human.

Interview
This company is one of those that still has the mindset that interviewing is a one way street with all the power going to the company. The application itself consists of several in depth questions that really should be saved for a screening interview. Then, they ask you to do a personality test and spend your own time designing a tour and presenting it verbally via a recorded video. This is all before they even deign to communicate with you. After all this effort, I expected the courtesy of a generic “thanks but no thanks” email but nope, they completely ghosted me. Serious red flags from this company if this is how they disrespect people’s time and effort.

Question 1
They never actually spoke with me, just had me answer a bunch of written questions and then do a project.
