Interview
The interview process at Wellhive consisted of several structured stages designed to assess both technical knowledge and problem-solving ability. It began with an initial phone screen, where the interviewer asked candidates to introduce themselves and walk through their resumes. Candidates who advanced to the next stage completed a take-home HackerRank assessment, which had strict rules forbidding the use of external guides, AI tools, or outside help. The assessment included several multiple-choice questions and two hands-on technical exercises focused on coding and SQL.
The overall process tested candidates’ understanding of computer science fundamentals, backend data handling, and their ability to work through real-world problems under technical constraints. The final decision came about a month after submission, at which point candidates were informed of their status.

Applied online, got an email to verify identity email and identity prior to initial call. Initial call talked about resume and past experience. Basic algorithm question see Q&A. Stage two hacker rank coderbyte three question programming test.
I fail to see how these tests accurately convey job readiness. I'll never write a blackjack game as an Infrastructure Engineer....

Interview
30 min initial interview where they will lie about your candidacy. Next step is a pointless and irrelevant Hackerank test that determines whether you move on or not. Don’t waste your time with this employer.
