Was contacted by e-mail to set up an interview a few weeks after applying. The interview was conducted by two librarians and involved questions relevant to the position. Unfortunately, some questions were framed in a way that showed they valued candidates who had experience engaging in programming for children's activities but did not explicitly state this as necessary experience in the job posting. Also, they asked if candidates possessed "access to reliable transportation and a drivers license" despite nowhere in the job listing stating that the candidate would be working in multiple locations that, presumably, would require a car.
The expectations seemed quite high for a job that is part of a Federally funded program to get new graduates job experience in fields they otherwise can't get into.
By the end of the interview, the tone had changed and it was obvious they had made a decision.
Overall, it wasn't the best interview experience.
