      I interviewed at Wingspan (NY)

      Interview

The process was fine until the end. I had a phone screen with the recruiter, hiring manager interview, then 30 minute technical assessment which I did well in. Everyone I spoke with at the company was incredibly nice. The frustrating part was the operations and process. The automated rejection e-mail from a no-reply address instead of hearing from the recruiter felt unprofessional and cold. Apparently the team decided to pivot to hiring an entirely different role, a Software Engineer, when the JD was for Customer Engineer, and also the leadership changed from being open to remote to wanting someone based in NYC. I found this out after emailing the recruiter. Frustrating to say the least, they could have saved me time and energy if they had been upfront and clear about these two details from the get go.
