I had a disappointing experience with the HR representative from Wise. I received a call from her informing me that I had been selected for a position, and I gave a verbal acceptance and signed the offer letter. Since then, I have followed up multiple times, but my messages have been completely ignored. I understand if the company decided not to move forward with my application, but the lack of communication and basic courtesy is highly unprofessional. A simple response would have sufficed, rather than leaving me in the dark.
Due to this situation, I also turned down other opportunities, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I expected better from a company like Wise, both in terms of professionalism and candidate communication

I applied online on their website, was invited to do a take home test, and then i was invited to do an interview with the manager. the whole process took around 2 weeks.

Interview
Overall interview started with Job Application>Take Home Test>Zoom Interview. It was a 1:1 interview with the team lead based in Budapest at evening (local time). Interview was very brief, done in less than 30 minutes. A neutral experience, not a 2 way conversations as interviewer seems to be wanting to get it done quick. I was told that was the final stage and result will be emailed in the next following week. The disappointing part is that they never email the result even after I sent a follow up email to the hiring team. It'd have been better to let us know even if we dont make it instead of ghosting the candidates.
The interview was not very difficult. Just prepared it beforehand. You are good to go. There were a lot behavioral questions rather than AML related ones. Such as how do you handle work related stress and describe a time when you could not meet the deadline.
