I applied for the job and recruiter reached out a week later. The next step was a hiring manager and technical screen . The technical screen involved pandas questions, the interviewer didn't do much to explain their tool and what the expectations were. The test cases are not displayed, so you don't know why it's failing. Even then I answered most of the test cases but not all. That was not enough and they decided not to move forward, seams a bit too rigid.

Other Data Scientist interview reviews for Workday
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Prague) in Mar 2019
Interview
A recruiter from Dublin contacted me via LinkedIn about a job opportunity in Prague for a Data Scientist. After that, we had a brief call for 10 minutes.
The next step was having a zoom call with a regional software head in Prague, where I explained about my current projects and what I have been doing.
The next step was a test. The test consisted of 3 parts: i) Do a tweet correlation analysis and tweet prediction for the data given, ii) Mine the data from twitter api for first question, and iii) Write test cases.
A thorough analysis of the test typically require 2 to 3 full days of effort.
After that I had another interview call with a Senior Data Scientist from Prague.
The interview process was negative for me because:
i) The recruiter didn't get back to me even 10 days after I finished the interview with a Senior Data Scientist. It was only when I reminded him about my application that he responded giving very general feedback like "We think you need a little bit more experience and finish off your masters and we could maybe speak again in 6-8 months time". I don't mind not being selected, but a company of Workday's stature is expected to give a proper feedback to candidates about the reason why they were rejected, especially when a candidate put in more than 2 days of effort to write the test. I've got better feedback from companies who are not even in fortune 500 and I judge a company's culture by the quality of their feedback to the candidates who are not hired.
ii) The phone interview with the Senior Data Scientist was also a negative experience because I felt that he didn't even go through my solution to the test, and he doesn't understand the data himself. Apart from this he showed up to the zoom call 20 minutes after the scheduled time, which I consider very unprofessional.
iii) If you have questions about the test, it has to go through the recruiter and sometimes he responds late.
My recommendation to the recruiter: Please give proper feedback to the candidates, it reflects your company's culture.

Interview
Technical Phone Screen, 45 minutes with a data scientist. The recruiter week through a coding challenge as well as other data science related questions. The guy was pretty specific, not a question about the resume.
