I applied through university. I interviewed at Yelp (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I sent the resume on campus, and took an on campus interview. This is an efficienty way to get the interview. And the interviewer is very friendly. So I think this is also a good experience
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Yelp (Toronto) in Sept 2025
Interview
I applied for a fullstack engineering role and completed the interview process. After finishing the final step including a four hour final interview I was told the team would get back to me soon. They sent an email later on saying that timelines were changing and I had to be more patient. They sent a couple of these emails over two months reminding me that they hadn’t forgotten me. Eventually, I was invited to speak with the hiring manager, which felt more like a casual conversation than a decision-making step. After that, there was silence for another two weeks.
When I finally followed up, I received an email saying they had closed the position. No explanation was given for the long delay or why they interviewed people for a role they weren’t sure they’d fill. It was incredibly frustrating to invest time and emotional energy into a process that ended with the role being canceled.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Yelp (London, England)
Interview
I interviewed at Yelp London.
Process was as follows:
1- Online Assessment on HackerRank
1- Recruiter chat
1- Behavioural Interview
4- Interviews - Virtual Onsite (1 behavioural, 2 coding and 1 system design).
I had a terrible experience. Interviewers were nice, but after 1.5 month long process and 6 interviews later (+1 OA) with positive feedback. I received an email saying, hiring managers looked at my past experiences and don't think it's a good fit for the current role.
Could've looked at my profile earlier and saved me a lot of time. I took days off to interview here. Please don't waste other candidates' time.
