I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2013
Interview
Got referred by a friend. Just had a phone interview. It was an interesting learning experience. I felt like the guy called just to mock me. Keep in mind, they hire 95% women for this position. He was almost 30 min late, and I felt like he was annoyed with me from the start. Glad it didn't work out to be honest.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.

Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
