1. Recruiter Call/Interview
2. Virtual Interview
I should have seen the red flags from the recruiter. If they are asking you trivia questions on the initial interview, it's a huge indicator of the type of people are working there. I should have dodged.
Anyway, I passed the trivia questions with a breeze. I feel bad how this may stop other great engineers from joining.
Took around 2 weeks to schedule for virtual interview with a Frontend Engineer.
This FE interviewer was very underqualified for her position. Seemed very distracted and unwilling from the initial impression. She was late to the interview.
It was one of the worst experiences I had. The person kept digging into my current position while I am bounded by NDA to not disclose too much.
I have been asked the same question in different phrasing. I asked for clarification multiple times, just to get a good grasp what is being asked. Possibly has comprehension problems.
Regardless jumped into pair programming section: finished the first one easily. Posted a second question knowingly we don't really have much time. Worked through the question as well.
Had around 5 minutes left to ask question. I learned about her team, projects, and people there. I learned that this is not a place where I can grow and I would discourage my friends from working here.
