Full Charge Bookkeeper was asked...27 September 2015

Saying this interview process was an utter waste of time would be an understatement. Very few questions about my skill set. The co-owner was mostly concerned about my lifestyle and asked questions about my hobbies, interests, and my life experiences. He said he was not concerned about my qualifications and said I was more than qualified with my past work experience and education. I have the impression the co-owner had ulterior motives in interviewing me and other candidates. I feel the interviews went extremely well, he said he would let me know either way within a week. I've contacted him twice (phone and email) to get the status of his decision. He never had the decency to get back to me.

Let me assure you that 100% of the applicants who applied for this position were not contacted by Shawn, as I was one of them. I've checked my spam folder. The fact that you bring up your company culture and fairness of work place leads me to wonder if you've had EEOC issues. Reflecting on the questions during your interview process, you did seem to be weeding out certain demographics. Best of luck in your future endeavors. Less

I asked her management style. Her answer was "that's not important"

I guess that's why the new marketing director got hired.

Why do you want to work at Panda? (The interviewer was looking for a "fit" to the Panda culture not necessarily someone that would stand out)

I went to the second interview today with two area managers and to my surprise it was the worst interview in my entire life. First they don't understand you because English is their second language, second they try to use everything you said against you, they need to polish their people's skills, they are very negative, and try to make one feel less than them. BAD FOR BUSINESS! !!!! Less

My aspirations are to explore a career in a sector of construction /manufacturing that is one of improving the environment and aesthetics to provide relaxing spaces for the customer. Additionally, I am fascinated and would like to learn how to account and manage a living inventory with the challenge of how to apply cost adjustments in respect to ready for sale plants and trees. The challenge in my opinion is how to adjust cost to growing live inventory over the growth period. This cost method is similar to manufacturing, However, protocols need development as it is a ever changing process. Less
