This organization is phenomenal but the interview process was so unprofessional that I ended up just saying I was no longer interested in applying.
I initially interviewed for a facilitator position based on a staff member's recommendation which was with the CEO and I was rescheduled twice and no-showed once. My initial interview was scheduled for an hour but lasted 25 minutes total and due to the interruptions by the interviewer, I don't think I answered a question completely as they cut me off within 1-2 minutes each time. I was asked a number of inappropriate questions about my disability which implied that I was not resilient or reliable such as, "Are you sure you're resilient enough to work here because we deal with a lot of difficult and stressful situations and people," and, "Can you actually complete a full work week because we only accrue one sick day a week so you need to be honest about your ability." I was also asked what my astrological sign is. The first 5 minutes were spent explaining why I was no showed and the final 5 minutes were spent stating how I needed to work on my body language over zoom as I had touched my cheek a few times. I was then told that I would be contacted by another employee to facilitate for them at then end of the interview; however, was contacted by email several days later stating that they had a different idea in mind if I was interested. The actual employees who work here are phenomenal so I thought I would give it another chance and stated I was still interested.
The next person also had to reschedule on me once . I had sent three emails asking what the new opportunity was before receiving a response and asked primarily so I could consider my options and prepare for the interview appropriately. I found out at this point, after being rescheduled for the third time, that it was now for a part time position and not a facilitator role but agreed that I would be there as anticipated until further notice. On the day of rescheduled interview number 4, about 2.5 hours before my anticipated interview time, I received an email asking if we should still go ahead as they interviewer, "respected their time" and didn't want to waste their due to my earlier wording, that things were on pause until they heard back from me because they essentially wanted to cancel the interview. At this point I stated, I was no longer interested as I had concerns about their professionalism and ability to follow through.
I rated this interview difficult due to the difficulty of the entire 4 week process. The interview questions, if allowed to answer them without being cut off, were simplistic and should have been easy to answer in a 3-5 minute time span per question, but everything else about the process was rough.
