Underwriting and assessment of presented Commercial Lines risks in accordance with guidelines and protocols to secure profitable business
Engagement with internal (Finance, BS, IT, CC, Biz Process, other business units, etc) and external stakeholders (reinsurers, intermediaries, clients) to drive business, provide solutions and deliver value to clients as part of managing one’s commercial lines portfolio
Providing Technical Advice on commercial line products to Intermediaries, clients and fellow staff as and when necessary
Working to drive business growth whilst being cognizant of underwriting profits and team/individual budgets
Ensuring good risk and corporate governance is practiced and maintained by adhering to Income’s risk and compliance guidelines
Sharing knowledge with, Supporting and Driving good synergy and morale within the work team to push for efficiency and productivity within the Business Unit
Aiding with relevant problem solving and conflict resolution efforts as and when necessary
Building close rapport, organizing and participating in key marketing efforts (including but not limited to events and campaigns) with given portfolio of intermediaries
Ensuring that turnaround times are met to maintain speed to market through effective time management
Curating and Presenting educational material for conduct of in-house Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training for intermediaries
Ensuring that required/mandated CPD hours are met
Undertaking and driving the successes of projects, initiatives and other duties as assigned by the Head of Department and/or Head of Section
Conducting market research and providing feedback to the business unit and team to ensure that we are current and up-to-date
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the Commercial Lines Insurance industry in a similar capacity preferred
Self-motivated and Open-mindedness
Ability to multi-task whilst being meticulous and working well under pressure
Effective Time Manager with willingness to learn
Sociable yet disciplined (able to work in/with teams and/or independently)
Candidates with insurance certifications CGI preferred
The minimum salary is $97K and the max salary is $100K.
