A day in the life of a Solution Architect

At CrimsonLogic, creating adaptive, innovative and effective solutions are key for us to enable digital transformation across the key industries that we are engaged in namely: Digital Government, Judiciary and Trade.  A Solution Architect plays a key role in this respect.  Using their extensive knowledge and the tools at their disposal, one is entrusted to concoct a comprehensive and winning solution that meets the customers’ needs and beyond.

Solution Architects are expected to be technically excellent in their field of specialisation, be creative and at the same time be able to adapt the solution depending on the customers’ needs. CrimsonLogic has a varied customer base due to our global presence, ranging from the Middle east, Africa, Latin America, Caribbean to the rest of the world.  Complementing a technically excellent solution, the Solution Architect must consider additional environmental factors such as culture, living standards and IT literacy rates in the solution.  It is not always about the latest and greatest tech, but ultimately what makes sense for the customer.

A Solution Architect’s key responsibility areas include:

  • Driving overall solution architecture (inclusive of infrastructure, application and deployment) for a proposal.
  • Widening and deepening the technical frontier of the company.
  • Provide valuable technical insights and advice when consulted upon by the various groups within the company.
  • Coaching and mentoring developers on the best implementation practices.

Being a Solution Architect

A Solution Architect undertakes exciting and rewarding tasks every day. Here’s what YOU can look forward to:

  • Meeting customers to discuss their needs and bring forth your solution vision to them.
  • Preparing proposals with the sales team.
  • Developing innovative proof-of-concepts with Infra, UI/UX and developers.
  • Research and development into new technologies.
  • Perform code reviews.

    technical test and 2 rounds of interview was done. no psychometric test or any other test. no panel interview just one on one interview. interview process was quite smooth as the interviewer was quite friendly
