Pros

Used to have lots of off days before we started to operate the sydney route. Generally a small base. Nice working environment if you are an easy going person. Great place if you love status quo.

Cons

Management - do not expect them to reply to your mail especially when requesting for help .. Don't have the decency to at least acknowledge receipt of the request/email. Lack local HR knowledge- not very well versed in local employment matters. Operations - bunch of robots that have no idea what to do when out of the norm situation arise. Super rigid. Salary has not been reviewed since 2015. job advancement opportunities is close to zero- ccm and scc salary are very similar.

Pros

Decent work-life balance compared to some other airlines — rostered days off are generally respected. • Flying long-haul European routes in Finnair uniform can look impressive externally. • Great colleague support — the crew community is professional, kind, and the only real source of motivation.

Cons

Very low salary by Singapore standards, especially considering the demands of long-haul flying. • Shockingly low insurance coverage — death benefit is only SGD 5,000, which is unacceptable in this line of work. • No job security — contracts are unstable, and decisions are often made without proper communication. • Unequal treatment — AAP crew work beside Finnair-employed crew but are paid and treated far worse. • No career growth — no training, promotions, or advancement opportunities within AAP. • Detached and unresponsive management — crew often operate without real support or guidance. • Wellbeing is overlooked — high fatigue, long sectors, and little attention to mental or physical health.

Pros

Generally more relaxed roster, semi flexibility to plan and arrange one’s own schedule according to job requirements. Opportunity for a more stable roster currently only serving 2 routes. Overall better working conditions: flatter hierarchy, (supposedly) no-blame culture compared to other full service Asian / Low cost airlines.

Cons

Rough and lacking administrative support (local office and outsourced Crew planning | Operations Command). Discriminative and inconsistent treatment between native (client airlines) and oursourced crew (us). Exploitative use of local labour laws and problematic terms in contract, to depress wages. Stagnated remuneration package has not kept up with the times, doesn’t support crew in current challenging living conditions. Minimal to no acknowledgment from management (all parties involved), when reacting to crew feedback; on issues and concerns that have been plaguing the base.
