Pros

Nice office space, at a very convenient location.

Cons

Actfore is somewhat of a scam. Not because of the company itself, but due to its management. The company lures people in with vague promises of career advancement and great company culture, but in reality, that's just a facade. The company's initial response to any inconvenience is to either terminate or make miserable anyone who dares to question them. If you don't spend every waking moment dedicating yourself entirely to the company, you're deemed inadequate, and even those who did were eventually pushed away. They relentlessly target employees until they find a reason to dismiss them. Management enjoys people going the extra mile to gain their favor and those who don’t are instantly discarded. The close relationship the CEO has with management worsens the lack of accountability. The high turnover rate over the last few months is a clear show of how questionable management practices are.

Pros

There were not many. Bonuses but they were not able to keep them.

Cons

Very demanding about hours and work output. Recent layoffs of long time employees due to funding issues in the company. It seems they can no longer afford to pay their employees. Like every other American corporation they do not see you as people. You are nothing but a body to fill a chair. Stay away

Pros

-Some of the people that I met there were great. Steve was very friendly and good people. -The duties aren't hard.

Cons

- The position title does not match the duties of the position. - Constant pressure to work more (e.g. "If you're only working 40 hours, you're not really working."). There were passive-aggressive comments made by management whenever people would leave after working the time that was required of them. There were also guilt trips made by management like "I missed [insert family event here] because I was here working" and things of that nature. - Work-life balance is non-existent and you're looked down upon by leadership if that's what you're striving for. - There's no lateral or upward movement within the company. If you mention wanting to move from the role you were hired into, you'll get an "in any other job, you would be fired on the spot" lecture. - If you are placed into a "newly created support role," you are given no instructions as to how to perform in this new role. You are left without support or direction from leadership. If you decide to back out (and they have given the "no one will look down on you if you can't handle it and go back to your old role" spiel), you will not be considered for any other positions in the future because you "can't handle the pressure" or "you don't have what it takes." - There's no consistency within leadership in what is communicated to the team. - Training quality is sub-par and it's up to you to "figure it out" or you're thought of as unintelligent. - Employees have been dismissed for baseless fears of gossip and "negative energy" as well as "not having the skills needed for future projects" even though they were Excel certified. - Employees are chastised any time they try to talk to each other, even when it's about work. Then leadership complains that the atmosphere is tense and wonders why it's so quiet. - Your performance doesn't matter as much as the outward appearance of performance. Quantity over quality. - Leadership does not take criticism, even constructive criticism, well. Any critiques made of the process or the supposed "culture" or suggestions for improvement are taken as personal attacks.
