Great co-workers, horrible middle management, and bad pay

Pros
The hours aren't that bad. Most employees go home at 9 PM Monday through Thursday and by 6 PM on Friday and Saturday. My branch and the others are closed on Sunday (except for the Main Library branch). The co-workers are great.
Cons
Horrible middle management. There are people that have been here for years that don't actually do a job except "manage people". And by this I mean they sit around and bark out orders. The library has no way to get rid of dead weight in this regard. And everyone gets the same yearly 2% pay raise. Extra effort gets you nothing. Performance reviews are worthless and account for nothing.
