Pros
Sam & Mary have been in the business for over 50 years, and the shop, inherited by their son, is full of experts who know their craft. Everyone is helpful and pitches in where needed, and you genuinely feel cared for. Closed on weekends, so a very consistent hourly schedule and no surprise shifts. You don't take work home with you.
Cons
Workload can range from manic (during political season) to nearly dead. Pay stays fairly consistent at an $18/hr living wage, but seems fairly low compared to comparable positions elsewhere. No opportunities for advancement. Concerns about longevity of the store (and the printing industry as a whole).
