Pros

Pay, nothing else comes to mind when working at this "business".

Cons

Hostile work environment, lack of training for new employees, horrible communication with new employees. Stay away, if you're not perfect right when you start they will already be planning your exit. They do not welcome new employees or try to help them fit in, and right when you start you are under the microscope and any error, or even anything that you may do that they don't like will be scrutinized and used against you at your performance review. There is no room for making mistakes when training and starting. The department is ran by three fickle employees who will jump on the slightest mistake or error and try to get you fired, which they can do take it from me. You can be on the phone with a client or homeowner, and if you say one word that the girls don't like, you'll get a chat from one of them criticizing it and then that criticism will be relayed to management. Basically, if you think you can win three of the most picky, critical employees over to your side and get them to like you, take the job. But beware.

Pros

You receive perks after 90 days.

Cons

As stated in the above reviews, please do not fall for the “family atmosphere”. Unless your family would cut you off if you make a mistake or you get sick. Ensure you get everything in writing. If you don’t, anyone can say they told you anything. You need proof. Your word against theirs. They will assure you you have 6-12 month learning curve. Not true. The trainer pretends to care but ensure you get details in writing from her or you will suffer the consequences. I fell for the facade and am paying for it now.

Pros

There are some really nice people, on the Tinnelly side, not the Alterra side.

Cons

You are utilized to open new files for the first 3 months of employment because opening new collection files is their money maker. They tell you that you will begin to receive a bonus once you bill over a certain amount of hours. What they don't tell you is that unless you work through midnight, it's difficult to achieve said bonus because you won't be given new files to open. You will now transition to file maintenance. They are always short staffed and they keep promising that everything will get better as soon as they get more people but it doesn't because they never have a full staff...on purpose. There's just so much more but seriously, don't accept that offer. It's not worth it.
