      The Right Team for the Challenge

      Pros

      Experienced leadership team manages with strong vision and transparency. The organization is passionate as it develops new therapies to benefit the patient. The culture is built around respect and continuous alignment. Good benefits. Competitive compensation. Hybrid work environment.

      Cons

      Currently the company has two locations, but will soon be in a single location, fostering better communications and culture.

      Pros

      There is some excellent talent still present (although squelched into lower level work).

      Cons

      Funding is questionable, senior management seems unable to navigate a way forward. Primarily, senior management (clinical function & portfolio management) is either absent or focused on supporting questionable talent to lead the way. Kind of surprising considering the extraordinary past experience of many of Alumis’ employees. What a waste.

      Great mission and people, but toxic management in some areas

      Pros

      - great people - good mission - CEO and leadership are on the ball, pushing the right initiatives, - inclusive - promising medicine, good science - well run trials - exciting to come to work every day and work on something that matters

      Cons

      - some departments (Clinical Operations) repeatedly go to bat to protect toxic individuals despite high performers leaving again and again due to specific toxic managers. Nothing is done because they are friends from back in the day with the department head - VPs play favorites and hire their buddies and friends - employees are not listened to when they bring concerns to management, it's feigned change and given platitudes but ignored.
