Developers, take your skills somewhere else. They follow no coding standards here. There are rarely any opportunities for technical training. The company is not willing to invest in their employees.
The designated roles are not actually practiced. Your skills and preferences don’t matter; you are a generic employee who must fill whatever position is missing. You will be expected to magically change roles, switch tech stacks, and take on other employees’ tasks without being given ample time and support to learn/train.
Deadlines are intense. The quality of work suffers. All the projects are substandard and rushed.
There is a lack of senior employees who know what they are doing and have the depth of experience, expertise, and maturity to lead a project from design to deployment. As a result, project management is a farce. Lack of planning, changes of direction, additional tasks mid-sprint, and cancellation of projects are part of the normal toxic software development life cycle in Apollo.
Compensation is poor. Salary increase is always delayed. Overtime is not paid. Leaves are subject to a rigorous approval process. No fringe benefits, no team buildings.
Employee turnover is abysmal. Proper transition and documentation isn’t being followed. In 2020, there were 20+ employees who resigned from the Davao office alone. Take note: resigned. Not laid off.
But out of all the bad things in this company, management is the worst. Gaslighting and micromanaging is the norm. Expect decisions that are based on mood swings as well as temper tantrums during meetings.
Don’t apply here.
