Pros

Working with the children is amazing; those are some incredible kids and families. I loved getting to interact and bond with all of them.

Cons

I worked at Appleseeds full time for a long time, and the owner and boss verbally abused and humiliated certain members of her staff, including me, each and every day. She refused to give us pay stubs and would even pay us late, sometimes not at all. She claimed she was a BCBA, and even trained us as interns. Upon learning that she had no actual qualifications, I had to leave. What she taught us was flat out wrong. She handled the children improperly and without the proper training. I regret ever working there.

Pros

Amazing clients (the kids) and the place looks great.

Cons

15 minute breaks per 10 hr work day, no overtime, pressured to sign illegal contract on the spot, hires college with no previous training or experience in the science of ABA and are "trained"- improperly by the director Emma who barely has any training herself, the owner Emma is very rude to her staff, expects staff to "volunteer" after working 50+ hrs per week, NEVER pays on time & checks bounce often, director is very difficult to get along with on a professional level, has made claims that she is a BCBA when in fact she is not, does not update clients' targets, is not transparent to parents, low pay for the field, no training (has been claiming that she train her staff in CPI for over a year now while they restrain kids REGULARLY & without the parents' consent), has been investigated for assaulting the kids. This place is a facade, definitely not a reputable center for ABA therapy. Basically a low level, overpriced daycare for children on the spectrum with undereducated staff who do not know any better and parents who are left in the dark.

Pros

Everyday client interaction with families and kids. Clients are given professional therapy by trained staff members. The staff is nice.

Cons

The management is very bad. There is only one person who is in charge, which is the owner/founder. The owner is not able to keep promises or follow through with them. There is not opportunity for staff to gain higher positions. The staff seems to be separated into cliques. The pay is very low for this field.
